That’s certainly what we tell ourselves, but the idea of economic freedom is an elusive one, according to Joseph Stiglitz, author of the new book The Road to Freedom: Economics and the Good Society. Joseph is a professor of economics at Columbia University and the recipient of a John Bates Clark Medal and a Nobel Prize.
